2. FINTRAC registration
COBBY PAY LTD. is registered with the Financial Transactions and Reports Analysis Centre of Canada (“FINTRAC”) as a Money Services Business (“MSB”), registration number M23204811 (MSB registration status: Registered; initial registration 8 June 2023; expiry 18 February 2028). CobbyPay’s registered MSB services include foreign exchange, money transferring, virtual currency and payment services (PSP). FINTRAC registration confirms registration under Canada’s AML/ATF framework; it is not a banking licence, prudential approval, deposit guarantee or endorsement of CobbyPay.
3. Bank of Canada registration
CobbyPay is registered with the Bank of Canada as a payment service provider (“PSP”) under the Retail Payment Activities Act (“RPAA”). CobbyPay should be described on the website as “registered with the Bank of Canada as a payment service provider under the RPAA,” not as “licensed by the Bank of Canada.” Registration does not mean that the Bank of Canada guarantees or endorses CobbyPay. CobbyPay’s Bank of Canada PSP registration took effect on 7 April 2026. CobbyPay’s Bank of Canada PSP registration took effect on 7 April 2026.
4. Not a bank
CobbyPay is not a bank. CobbyPay does not describe Client balances as deposits with CobbyPay. Deposit insurance or deposit guarantee schemes do not apply merely because CobbyPay is registered as an MSB or PSP.
5. End-user funds
Where CobbyPay holds end-user funds that are subject to the RPAA safeguarding requirements, CobbyPay maintains safeguarding arrangements and a safeguarding-of-funds framework in accordance with applicable requirements. See the Safeguarding of End-User Funds Disclosure.
6. Third-party services
Certain accounts, IBAN functionality, cards, payment rails, custody, liquidity, digital-asset or other functionality may be provided or supported by third-party financial institutions and service providers. Availability is subject to eligibility, jurisdiction, compliance approval and provider terms. CobbyPay should identify a third-party provider publicly only where the contractual and regulatory position has been verified and the disclosure remains current.
7. Digital assets
Digital asset and stablecoin services are subject to applicable law, eligibility, risk controls and availability. Digital assets are not legal tender and may involve volatility, de-pegging, technology, liquidity, cybersecurity and regulatory risks. CobbyPay does not provide investment advice unless expressly authorized to do so.
